Northwestern Regional High School presents the musical classic "Fiddler on the Roof"
with a full cast and live orchestra on April 28, 29 & 30 in the Les Ober Theater at
Northwestern High School in Winsted.


Under the direction of Guy Hayes, the Northwestern H.S. theater continues its decade's
long tradition of offering high quality musical theater performance.

The Northwestern High School Theater will be presenting 3 performances of the musical "The Fiddler
on the Roof" on April 28 (7:00 pm), April 29 (8:00 pm), and April 30 (2:00 pm) at the Ober Theater at
Northwestern Regional High School at 100 Battistoni Drive in Winsted, CT. The show is based on the
original New York Stage production by Harold Prince, with music by Jerry Bock and Lyrics by Sheldon
Harnick. The show will feature a full cast, performed by students from Northwestern's participant
towns of Barkhamsted, New Hartford, Norfolk, Colebrook, and Hartland. A live pit orchestra will be
performing. "Fiddler" is being directed by Guy Hayes, whose fall production of "All Because of Agatha"
showcased the exceptional current dramatic talent that has become a tradition at Northwestern. The music
director is Kristyn Treggor-Horstmann and the orchestra conductor is Thomas Horstmann.

The Les Ober Theater is a 442 seat theater within Northwestern High School that provides comfortable
seating and a full stage. Trained students provide professional quality lighting and sound for each
performance. The Northwestern High School Theater is inviting the public to come and enjoy a quality
performance of the classic "Fiddler on the Roof". The "Fiddler" is based on the Sholem Aleichem
stories and tells the inspirational tale of a Jewish family dealing with change, prejudice, and hope
in rural Russia at the turn of the century. Featuring such songs well known songs as "If I Were a
Rich Man"; "Sunrise, Sunset"; and "Tradition", the play is for every generation. This show is a great
opportunity to see a wonderful performance for a reasonable price, close by.
