It's easy and convenient to register to vote! To print out a Mail-In Voter
     Registration Application, go to the Secretary of the State Election Forms Page
     and click on the "English Language Voter Registration Form". Complete the
     application, sign it, and mail to:

* Barkhamsted residents only. Non-residents must submit the form to the Registrar of Voters
    or Town Clerk in their respective Connecticut city/town.

Remember

 

By registering as a Republican, you are eligible to vote in Republican Primaries.
If you have childen off at college, let them know about this page so that they can
register and vote in Barkhamsted elections and referendums.   If you already are
registered to vote, but want to switch to the Republican Party, check off the  
"Party Enrollment Change" box when completing the form.

* There is a 3 month waiting period when switching political parties.   There is no waiting
    period when switching to or from an Unaffiliated/Independent Voter status.
 

What is an Absentee Ballot anyway?

   If you are unable to get to your designated Polling place on election day, an
   Absentee Ballot will enable you to vote.   An APPLICATION must be obtained,  
   filled out, signed, and returned to your Town Clerk.   Absentee Ballots become
   available at the Barkhamsted Town Hall usually a month before election day.
   Residents who have appplied may then pick one up, or, call to have one mailed
   or faxed to them.

   Absentee Ballots are convenient for business travelers, vacationers, college
   students, etc.   An application for an Absentee Ballot may be downloaded at the
   Secretary of the State Election Forms Page, or by contacting the Town Clerk
   in your own city or town.   Barkhamsted residents must return their signed
   Absentee Ballot application to:

   Almost all official Connecticut documents are of the file type .PDF (portable

   Barkhamsted residents may also submit an E-Mail request, or call the Town
   Hall at (860) 379-8665, Mon - Thur, between 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. and Fridays
   between 9:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. to request that a Voter Registration Form or
   Application for Absentee Ballot be mailed or faxed to them.
